The 188th Air National Guard Wing at Ebbing ANGB is located in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Fort Smith is on the southern edge of the Ozarks, an hour from Fayetteville/Bentonville and a 2-4 hour drive to Tulsa, OKC, or DFW areas.

Several years ago Ebbing ANGB was awarded the F-35 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) training mission.  Over the next 5-10 years Ebbing ANGB will host various European FMS customers to instruct them on employing the F-35 weapons system.  This new mission set has led to the creation of the 188th Detachment 2 for Arkansas ANG F-35 pilots, with the larger goal of becoming a full F-35 squadron in the near future.
