KC-135 Pilot Hiring Board — 171st Air Refueling Squadron in Selfridge, Michigan

The 171st Air Refueling Squadron currently flies the mighty KC-135T, but we are converting to the KC-46A in 2029! We are based out of the lakeside Selfridge ANG Base in the great state of Michigan. We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 27 UPT Board. This position is for non-rated pilots to attend Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) and follow on KC-135/KC-46A training at Altus AFB, OK. (Airframe will depend on when you graduate UPT) An instructional packet is provided below.

2026/27 Hiring Timeline:

Application Window is from 16 October 2026 to 06 December 2026 (DO NOT APPLY OUTSIDE OF THE WINDOW)*
Unit visitation (Rush Weekend) will take place in December 2026 (Invitation Only)
Interviews will take place between 4-8 January 2027 (Invitation Only)
