169th Airlift Squadron's C-130 Pilot Hiring Board

The 169th AS is now accepting rated applications from current and qualified pilots. Zoom or tele-interviews will not be offered. Realize that the unique mission of the C-130J (which the unit is scheduled to receive in February 2027) requires more of a time commitment than one weekend a month/2 weeks a year in order to stay current and proficient. We welcome all applicants, but please consider Peoria only if you can realize these commitments. Additionally, we recognize that many rated applicants may be interested in Peoria as a bridge to retirement while pursuing an airline career. Please do not consider this as just a place to hang your cap until you hit 20 years. We want you to be an active participant and bring your flight experience, preferably in the C-130J, to enhance the squadron! A cover letter tailored to "why Peoria" is highly desired.

Application packages should include the following:
 - Last 3 Performance Reports 
 - FAA Certificates (if you have civilian flying experience)
 - Last page of logbook or Flying History Report
 - Resume
 - Cover letter (Why Peoria)
 - At least 3 letters of recommendation
 - Any miscellaneous files that you feel might add value to your application, such as Form 8s
