Job Board Description

Pilot the HC-130J aircraft and execute Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) involving NVG low-level operations, helicopter air refueling, and airdrops of Pararescue jumpers and their equipment. Participates in AEF rotations and deploy overseas. Once hired, pilot will be a Drill Status Guardsman (DSG) with the opportunity to be hired into full-time AGR or Technician roles.

  • Cover Letter containing information why you want to be a Pilot or CSO with the 130th RQS, current living location, and contact info
  • Resume (include any flight time)
  • College transcripts (Unofficial or scans acceptable)
  • Copy of any current military FC1 medical or FAA medical clearance
  • Military flight history report or equivalent summary of military flight time
  • Copy of any civilian aeronautical ratings/certificates and the last page of your civilian logbook (if applicable)
  • Copy of your driver's license
  • Letters of recommendation (3 desired)
  • Last 3 military performance reports
  • Most recent USAF personnel RIP (Report of Individual Person) or equivalent
  • Your DD Form 214 (if you've separated from the military)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have a HC-130 background?

HC-130J experience is desired, but other J-model experience is also competitive. Non-C-130 applicants are considered based on unique qualities and skill sets they offer. Call squadron rep for more info.
