DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and prepares for mission
  • Reviews mission tasking, intelligence, and weather information
  • Supervises mission planning, preparation, filing a flight plan, and crew briefing
  • Ensures aircraft is preflighted, inspected, loaded, equipped and manned for mission
  • Pilots aircraft and commands crew
  • Operates aircraft controls and equipment
  • Performs, supervises, or directs navigation, in‐flight refueling, and cargo and passenger delivery
  • Conducts or supervises training of crewmembers
  • Ensures operational readiness of crew by conducting or supervising mission specific training
  • Develops plans and policies, monitors operations, and advises commanders
  • Assists commanders and performs staff functions related to this specialty.
  • Deploys and TDY worldwide to complete the mission

All KC‐135 conventional and nuclear mission set performed at the highest levels of national and international standards while utilizing risk management. The 128th Operations Group is committed to developing, implementing, maintaining, and constantly improving strategies and processes to ensure that all of our aviation activities meet the needs of the United States Air Force, the Air National Guard, and the State of Wisconsin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are we doing base tours or meet & greets prior to the interview selection?

Due to a massive base wide deployment this year, we can not offer the opportunity for candidates to tour the base or meet members prior to the interviews. We will have a small rush event this year during the interviews. If selected for an interview, it's not required to interview in person but highly recommended to interview in person. 

When will I find out if I'm selected for an interview?

You will know within two weeks of the application window closing if selected for an interview. Make sure you double check your application the week before the posting closes to make sure it's still correct and updated. If you've decided to go in a different direction by then, please remove your application package.  

When are the interviews?

Due to a massive deployment for our unit this year, interviews can't be officially scheduled yet. We're tenatitvely planning on holding interviews the first week of December.
