Job Board Description

As a Drill Status KC-135R pilot in the Alabama Air National Guard, you will assist the aircraft commander in safely operating the KC-135R Stratotanker during both training and real-world missions, including aerial refueling and airlift operations. Your responsibilities will include flight planning, briefing, and executing missions, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. You’ll participate in monthly drills, with additional training exercises and annual requirements to maintain flight currency and proficiency. Attendance at weekend drills (typically one weekend per month) and an annual training period is required, along with the potential for mobilization or deployment on short notice. You’ll also be responsible for accurate flight documentation and maintaining physical and flight qualifications. This role requires flexibility, as well as the ability to travel for training, missions, and potential deployments.
